David Kurtz MSW, LSW is a Doctor of Social Work (expected May 2026) and a Licensed Social Worker currently working toward licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. His career spans implementation science, child welfare, academia, monitoring and evaluation, and international social work.
David brings hands-on experience designing and leading implementation efforts, conducting rigorous research, and providing direct clinical support to individuals and organizations serving vulnerable populations.
Key Experiences That Shape My Work
International & Cross-Cultural Expertise
Internship in Chiang Rai, Thailand, where I developed skills navigating diverse cultures, languages, and systems. Much of my research has focused on global anti-human trafficking efforts.
Doctoral Capstone
Designed and implemented a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program for anti-human trafficking staff across five countries. Used validated measurement tools and implementation science frameworks to support staff wellbeing and program sustainability.
Behavior Consultant Role
Implemented and supervised evidence-based interventions with over 150 staff members, parents, and clients in child welfare and human services settings.
